Mango Languages: Language Learning: Welcome

The Library is pleased to provide Saint Paul University students with free access to Mango Languages!

Mango Languages is an online language learning resource that offers more than 70 language courses. Lessons are designed with students' real needs in mind, using typical, everyday life situations to improve practical conversation skills. 

Each lesson is made up of thematic learning units built specifically to help you learn effectively and at your pace. Learning objectives are laid out at the start of each step. Navigation within the platform is simple and user-friendly. With your account, you'll be able to save your lessons, follow your progress thanks to graphs and stats, review past content, and test your knowledge to solidify your gains. You can also learn multiple languages at the same time and add up to five separate profiles for members of your family. What's more, the mobile app has even more features!

Mango Languages is available via web browser (latest version of Google Chrome, Safari, or Firefox required) or mobile app (Android and iOS).

You have to create an account that is linked to Saint Paul University. To do so, please follow the steps laid out below. Please note that the account must be created through the website, not the app; once you have done so, you may access Mango Languages in whichever way you prefer.

To create your account:

1. Click here to access the sign-up page through Saint Paul University.
2. Click on Sign Up in the bottom right corner.
3. Enter the first part of your uOttawa email address (the part before the @) and make sure you select @uottawa.ca in the box to the right, then click on Send Confirmation Email.
4. Once you have received the email, open it and click on Accept Invitation. This will open the final profile setup page.
5. Click I Accept when the Mango Languages Terms and Conditions pop-up appears.
6. Choose a password for your profile and click on Update Profile Information. Your profile has now been created. 
7. Choose the language(s) you want to learn and dive in!
