This guide contains all the information you need to start using Zotero.

What is Zotero? Zotero is a free, open source bibliographic management software under the GNU license that anyone can download and use. It can help you save time and improve the quality of your academic work. It was developed by the Roy Rosenzweig Center for History and New Media.

What does it do? With Zotero, you can:

  • Directly capture a variety of different sources from your Internet browser. 
  • Organize your personal library. 
  • Generate bibliographies and citations in just a few clicks. 
  • Share references with teammates and colleagues
  • And much more!
